• Charged With Manslaughter

An Aiken County woman was taken into custody Wednesday, Nov. 6, for her connection in the fatal shooting of 31 year old Christopher Rowley of Sudlow Lake Road.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, Rowley was pronounced dead around 3:00 Wed. afternoon shortly after his arrival at Georgia Regents University Hospital’s Shock Trauma unit where he was taken after he was shot in an apparent domestic dispute with the woman.  She was arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter in this case.

The accused is currently employed with the SC Probation and Parole.  She was formerly a deputy with the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Department where she worked from 2004-2007.
