Dear Editor:
On Friday and Saturday of last week friends and family put on a Bar-B-Q Fund Raiser for me; I cannot express how much I appreciated everyone who came out to help make this so successful. All of this would not have been possible without all the help: from the food being donated, for the ones that came out to help to deliver, sell, took orders, for the ones that did the cooking and all who came out and bought bar -b-q and raffle tickets.
I would also like to especially thank Edgefield daily; The Edgefield Advertiser and WJES radio station for graciously advertizing for us. It wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you so very much. I would also like to thank the Masons of Edgefield who allowed us to use their wonderful facility for both days. Thank you. I’ve been blessed by the turnout of people that came out to help me with my liver transplant; for it is very expensive. Please know it will always be remembered. We were so overwhelmed with all the support; the way everyone came, even with the weather it didn’t stop anyone. I have a long way to go with this journey but just to know that the people in our great community care enough will help to brighten my days. I am scheduled to return to Charleston, April 9th. I would like to ask everyone to continue to keep me and my family in their prayers. Thank you again for the purchase of Bar-b-q, raffle tickets and your donations.
Thank you all again and also please continue to lift me up in your prayers.
