NINETY SIX, S.C. – Claude William “Worm” Timmerman, Jr., 61, of 320 N. Cambridge Street, Ninety Six, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edgefield, he was a son of the lateClaude W. Timmerman, Sr. and Omie Lee Sweezy Timmerman. He was formerly employed by Davey Tree Company and Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant. Worm was an avid Gamecock fan and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Crystal Marler (Chris) of Ninety Six and Jessica Timmerman of Greenwood; two sons, Claude W. Timmerman, III of Greenwood and Jeremy Timmerman (Melissa) of Easley; a sister, Peggy Deloach and a brother, Robert Deloach, both of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Jeremy C. Timmerman, Jr., Amber Redden, Christian Marler, Anthony Timmerman, Dylan Yonce, Taylor Yonce, Marleigh Brown and Colton Timmerman.
Services will be at 12 noon on Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Eric Branch and Mr. Ricky Dill officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Al Timmerman, Frankie Timmerman, James Rushton, Robert Deloach, Matt Deloach and Randy Rushton. Honorary escort will be Anthony Timmerman, Dylan Yonce and Christian Marler.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at the home of his sister-in-law, Deborah Waters, 5610 Highway 178 South, Ninety Six.
