Three candidates have filed to run for the District 4 seat on the Edgefield County School Board; Denis Thomas, Blair Massey, and Cynthia Nathaniel.  District 4 is the only contested seat on the board.  This seat was left vacant after longtime board member Brad Covar recently announced he would not seek re-election.  Filing to run for the office closed on Monday, Aug. 15.  James Bibbs, Sr., Johnny Peterson, and Robin Ball are running unopposed for Districts 3, 5, and 7 respectively.
