McDonalds located in Edgefield on Augusta Road was hit by a thief, Thursday, Oct. 15. According to an Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office report on the incident, a witness observed a man exit a vehicle in the drive-thru line and then go into the eatery’s storage freezer. The man was next seen exiting the freezer with something underneath his shirt. He then got back into the vehicle and left the scene.
According to the witness, there were at least two possible ham-burglars involved in this crime. Both are described as bearded white males in their early 20s with one having brown hair and being about 5’ 9” tall. The getaway car is described as a gray Ford Ranger. A license plate number was obtained from the truck, and management is to forward video surveillance to law enforcement in an effort to help identify these culprits.
