MODOC, S.C. – William H. (Bill) Gilliland, 89, of Modoc, SC husband of Eunice McDaniel Gilliland died Sunday July 19, 2015 at his residence.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday July 22, 2015 at 11 AM with full Military Honors at Modoc Baptist Church.

Mr. Gilliland was born in Estherville, Iowa. He retired from the Army in Special Forces and was a founding member and former Fire Chief of Modoc Fire Dept.. He was a deputy sheriff for McCormick County for 3 years. He was a member of Modoc Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Modoc Baptist Church or Modoc Fire Dept.
