ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Ms. Carolyn Rucker, 76 of Asheville, NC, passed away on December 28, 2014. Ms. Rucker was born in Edgefield, SC and was the daughter of the late George and Dixie Rucker.

Survivors include two daughters, Dixie (Mike) Gibson and Denise (Smitty) Smith; two sons, Whit (Paula) Gay and Sean Gay; one sister Betsy (James) Martin and one brother George Rucker. She had 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Ms. Rucker worked as a medical transcriptionist in Augusta, GA and Asheville, NC.

A Memorial service is being planned in Asheville, NC at a later date.
