Town Hall Meetings Regarding Benefits for Former Savannah River Site Workers

Cold War Patriots, a non-profit organization, has organized four town hall meetings to inform the community on issues which may affect former Savannah River Site workers. The meetings will be held Tuesday, July 15th at Strom Thurmond High School Cafeteria in Johnston, SC, at 10 a.m., and 2 p.m., and Wednesday, July 16th at Cail Community Center in Sylvania, Ga., at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Cold War Patriots will provide information regarding potential benefits to all workers from the Savannah River Site facility.  The benefits available for those who qualify may include payments of up to $400,000 as well as access to no-cost medical care, prescriptions, in-home nursing and more.  The details of the EEOICPA program and steps to apply for benefits and compensation will also be discussed.  “This program is a great resource for those whose health has been affected by their contribution to America’s nuclear arsenal” stated Tim Lerew of Cold War Patriots.

Cold War Patriots is a membership based, non- profit organization with over 15,000 members nationwide.  Their mission is to connect members with health services, advocate for former worker rights and provide a community and information network to those who need it.
