TRENTON, S.C. – Funeral services for James D. Griffin will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Simmons Memorial Chapel of Elko with Rev. Henry Ingrams Sr., Rev. Elroy Wilson, Rev. Loraine Ryans, Rev. Eugene Davis, Pastor Anthony Brown officiating.
Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery on Highway 25, Edgefield, S.C.
Survivors are his wife, Teresa A. Griffin, Trenton, S.C.; four daughters, Annie L. Newton, Shelia Ready, both of Beech Island, S.C., Barbara J. Moore, Jackson, S.C., Angela (Lee) Patterson, Augusta, GA; two sons, Teacher Pryor, J’Kwon Lewis, Trenton, S.C.; four sisters, Nancy (Elijah) Blocker, Aiken, S.C., Sarah (Fred) Williams, Edgefield, S.C., Susie Kidrick, Washing-ton, D.C., Jennie (Carlos) Reid, Bowie, MD; one brother, Raymond Griffin, Columbia, S.C., nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
