EDGEFIELD, S. C. – Mrs. Betty J. Price Collins, of Walker Road, entered into rest April 24, 2014 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of which the Rev. Oscar Brown is the pastor/presiding and the Rev. Dr. James E. Dukes eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Collins, a native of Edgefield County was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she served on several auxiliaries of the church.

Survivors include her husband, Dea. John E. Collins, Sr., of the home; one son, Dea. John E. (Min. Lesile) Collins, Edgefield, SC; three daughters, Brenda (James, Sr.) Bibbs, Trenton, SC; Sheila Cummings, Augusta, GA and Lisa (Rev. Dr. James) Dukes, North Augusta, SC; one brother, J.C. Price, Aiken, SC; three sisters, Georgia Mae Butler, Washington, DC; Farry Andrews, Johnston, SC and Minnie (Samuel) Young, Capital Height, MD; two sisters-in-law, Katrina Harrison, Edgefield, SC and Min. Aimee Mathis, North Augusta, SC; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Elease) Collins, Edgefield, SC and Dea. William (Christine) Collins, Denmark, SC; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
