The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary call Friday, Jan.3, at a residence on Briggs Avenue. According to a report filed with the ECSO, the back door of the home was pried open by unknown suspects, and a total of six guns were stolen.
The firearms stolen included three shot guns of various makes and gauges, a Ruger Mossy Oak .22, a Remington bolt action .270, and a pellet gun. The estimated value of the stolen guns was listed as just under $3,000.
The investigation into this crime is continuing.
