Edgefield County voted 11, 547 in favor of and 941 voted against. Those in favor voted to amend the South Carolina constitution to prohibit the voting of noncitizens in state and municipal elections. They joined seven other states who passed the amendment: Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.
