On March 19, 2018, at 9 a.m. a long black limousine came to Johnson Street in Johnston, S.C., to pick up Amber, Teresa, Cashous and Gregory and carried them to Columbia, S.C., to shop. The limousine was stocked with sparkling cider, chips, cookies, Cheez-its, juice and bottled water.
They were greeted at their first stop by Steve and Katie, volunteers of Make a Wish Foundation. Of this meeting, the Gantt family said: “They were a very pleasant, nice and loving couple who escorted us to every stop to pay for Cashous. Game Stop was the first stop, then Toys R US. We then stopped at Dave & Busters for lunch and games. After enjoying a wonderful lunch, we then went to Walmart. After several hours there, Cashous was tired and ready to go home.”
They remarked that this was a wonderful fulfilling experience they will never forget with Steve and Katie and Make a Wish Foundation for children with terminal illnesses. “On the way home there was hardly room for us to sit. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” submitted
