The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office responded to a break-in at Sweetwater Baptist Church, Monday, Nov. 14.  According to the ECSO report on the incident, unknown suspects gained entry into the church’s gym by using a side rear door.  Once inside, they took from a closet a black Carvin sound system with two speakers valued at $500.  The thieves also went into the church’s Youth Room from where they stole a silver Dell laptop computer worth about $500.

ECSO processed the scene, and this case has been turned over to their investigation unit for further follow-up.
