REPEAL OF THE BOIL WATER ADVISORY

EFFECTIVE September 15, 2016

The Edgefield County Water and Sewer Authority advises their customers located in and around the area of Main St. from Rabbit Trail Rd. to Columbia Rd. Rd, Columbia Rd. from Addision St. to Main St, Rabbit Trail Rd. from Main St. to Star Rd, Youngblood Rd. from Main St. to Star Rd., Slade Rd., Bluebird Ln., Scurry Ln., Sheppard Dr., Oak St., Elm St., and Gary St. that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.

Following a intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed by the authority. The results of this sampling indicated that the system is safe to use for drinking and cooking.
