JOHNSTON – Vincent Joseph DeRemigio, Jr., 79, husband of Angela Groomes DeRemigio, died Monday June 13, 2016.The family will receive friends Thursday June 16, from 5 to 7 PM at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.

Mr. DeRemigio, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Vincent J. and Helen Pistille DeRemigio, Sr.  He was a retired self-employed owner operator of a convenient store and was a U.S. Army Veteran from 1954 to 1962.

Survivors include his wife; two sons; Vinny (Dana) DeRemigio, III, Joseph Edward DeRemigio; two daughters; Debbie (Billy) Isaac, Linda Miranda; two brothers; Sam DeRemigio, Michael Seitz; 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; and three loving pets; Ziva, Jada, and Candy. He was predeceased by a brother Bobby DeRemigio.

Many will remember the tribute to Mr. DeRemigio found in a July, 2014, Edgefield Advertiser which told of his faithful raising of the American flag each day at Trenton Post Office, a contribution to the community that reflected his patriotism.
