EDGEFIELD – Bruner Hare, 89, of Edgefield, died Friday, March 18, 2016, at Mountain View Health & Rehab Center in Clayton, Ga. Born October 22, 1926, in the Madison Community of S.C., he was the son of Wallace Jefferson Hare and Adie (Rholetter) Hare. Bruner was a retired apple grower from Long Creek, S.C. and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Margaret Ann Thrift Hare. He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Eva Goss, Vinnie Holden, Ivy Murray, Carrie Moore, and Beulah Carver and four brothers, Clifton, Nelson, Broadus and Wallace Hare,Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Hare of Edgefield; one brother, Vernon Hare of Hollywood, Md.; two daughters Karen Hare of Greer and Janie Burch of Long Creek; three sons, Bruce Hare of Franklin, N.C., Mark Hare of Gunnison, Col. and Charlie Hare of Long Creek.
Bruner never ceased to enjoy meeting new people, regardless of circumstances. His beautiful and sincere smile and sparkling eyes were a window to his eagerness for getting to know people and finding or creating rewarding experiences in all situations he encountered. He had tremendous love for his family and he will be painfully missed.
There will be no public memorial service at this time.
