James W. (Smokey) Bryan, 83, husband of Frances Diane Godfrey Bryan of McQueen St., died Saturday February 6, 2016.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 9, 2016 at 2 PM at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, with burial at Sunset Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Edgefield, SC.

Mr. Bryan was a native of Edgefield and was a member of Graniteville Church of God. He was the son of the lat Ernest and Addie Lou Covar Bryan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired Painter, and Business Owner.

Survivors include his wife, 2 sons, James (Frankie) Rushton, Jr.; Richard (Annette) Rushton; 2 daughters, Brittany (Mark) Green, Tiffany (Scott) Bryan;

6 Grandchildren; 1 Great Granddaughter; 2 sisters, Frances B. Gresham, and Ida Mae Steele Puckett. He was predeceased by 2 sisters Ester Doolittle and Sarah Blease.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
