EDGEFIELD, S.C. – Mrs. Ida Plair Cheatham, of Dorn Road, entered into rest September 7, 2015 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Springfield Baptist Church of which Rev. Craig Myers pastor and the Rev. Marilyn Chinn eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cheatham, a native of Edgefield County was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Adolph Cheatham of the home; two daughters Debra (Breland) Sims, West Columbia, SC and Denise Terry, Edgefield, SC; two sons, Dolph (Bernice) Cheatham and Thomas (Rose) Cheatham, Greenwood, SC; nine sisters, Emma (Walter) Walker, Hattie Plair, Columbia, SC; Claudine Rhynes, Joan (James) Bowman, Barbara (Perry) Bussey, Sharon Hammond and Modene (Nathaniel) Stevenson, Edgefield, SC; Jean (George) Moore, Johnston, SC and Sandra Best, Greenwood, SC; four brothers, Charlie (Irene) Plair, Queens, NY; Johnnie Plair, Theodre (Sherry) Plair, Edgefield, SC and Micheal Plair, Batesburg, SC; a nephew, Telek (Sheena) Plair raised in the home as a son; 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
