EDGEFIELD, S.C. – Elizabeth Jenkinson Griffin died on September 21, 2015 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Edgefield, S.C.

She was born in Greenville, S.C. on November 15, 1923, and had lived in Augusta since 1952.  Mrs Griffin was employed in real estate and insurance in Augusta and retired when she was 80 years old.  She was a member of the DAR, the UDC, the Insurance Women of Augusta, and a charter member of the Augusta Genealogy Society.

Mrs. Griffin was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, John William Griffin, Sr.  She is survived by her daughter, Cherie Elizabeth Griffin (Jim Folker) of Edgefield, and John W. (Buddy) Griffin, Jr. (Debbie) of Charleston, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
