Walter (Walt) Winn, 77, of Edgefield, died Friday, as a result of a robbery at his store.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery off of Hwy 283 five miles out of Plum Branch.
Mr. Winn was born in Edgefield son of the late Lewis and Gertrude Culbreath Winn. He served six years in the Air Force. He work 25 years for Milliken in McCormick. He help build the McCormick Prison. Mr. Winn was the owner of Winn’s Grocery for 16 years. He was a Baptist. He was also longtime fan of NASCAR.
Survivors include his companion, Linda (Paulette) D. Scott of the home; two brothers, Edward (Duffie) and Rose Winn, Orangeburg, and Wayland L. and Pam Winn, Edgefield; three sisters, Edna W. Smith, Lincolnton, Shirley W. Ashmore, Lincolnton, and Linda W. Harris, Abbeville.
The family will receive friends at Rehoboth Baptist Church from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
