We would like to announce that the County of Edgefield has hired a new Finance Director, Bruce Cooley.  His first day with the County will be Monday August 24,2015.  He has fourteen years of experience in county government, five as the finance director and nine years as County Administrator in McCormick and Abbeville Counties.  He is very familiar with many of the agencies we work with including the Upper Savannah Council of Governments, Tri-County Solid Waste, and Aiken- Edgefield-Saluda Economic Development Partnership.  He has a Master Degree in Public Administration.  With his unique skill set and experience he will also assist the County when necessary as the Assistant Administrator.

He is married with three children and for the past fifteen years pastor of the Berea Baptist Church in Edgefield County.
