EDGEFIELD, S.C. – Mrs. Ruth A. Curry, of Oak Street, entered into rest March 14, 2015 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at Shaws Creek Baptist Church with Rev. R.C. Holloway officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Curry, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Shaws Creek Baptist Church, where she served as chief of the usher’s ministry.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Curry, Irmo, SC and Mary Mayes, Aiken, SC; two sons, Albert (Irish) Curry, Stafford, VA and Milton (Renee) Curry, Columbia, SC; two sisters, Minnie (Frank) Bush, Augusta, GA and Martha (Booker T.) Holmes, Graniteville, SC; two brothers, Leroy Mathis, Johnston, SC and Frank (Velma) Mathis, Henderson, NC; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
