Mr. George Thornton, CEO of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will be the speaker for the next Alliance meeting on Tuesday, January 20, at 8:00 a.m., in the County Council building on the corner of Jeter and Railroad Streets. Alliance Chair Linda Anderson says: “Mark your calendars now, you will not want to miss this opportunity.”
Continuing with Linda’s comments: “Yesterday, I had the pleasure of touring the NWTF (Turkey Federation) here in Edgefield. This was already an impressive facility and with its expansion shows what can happen when there is a vision set forth to make it a reality. While you may think this is just about turkeys and hunting, you could not be farther from the truth, it is so much more. This offers opportunities for local citizens as well as national visitors and participants. There are educational and recreational opportunities as well. The potential is limited only by the vision.”
Whether you are an avid outdoors person, hunter, educator, business owner, non-profit organization leader, there is something for everyone, is the message. Linda ends with: “Join us on the 20th to learn what is just outside your door.”
