EDGEFIELD, S.C. – Deacon William Elbert Jackson, 69, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014. He was born to the late Mary Ella Prescott Jackson and the late Albert Jackson in Edgefield County.
He was educated in the Edgefield County Public Schools. He was in the Army National Guard from 1977 to 1992. William was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Elizabeth Jones in 1968.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 5, at noon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he was a life long member and served faithfully in many capacities. The funeral was officiated by Rev. Rodney Edmonds and Rev. Debbie McCain with the eulogy.
He is survived by one daughter Dorian Carita(Marcello) Lambert; three grandsons, Marcello Jr., D’Andre and Darnell; one granddaughter, Marissa; two sisters, Mary Lucille Jackson and Evan Glover; one brother, Albert Jackson; his brother Andrew Jackson preceded him in death; special friend, Ms. Juanita Nixon; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Sunset View Mortuary LLC of Batesburg was in charge of arrangements.
