RIDGE SPRING, S.C. – Mr. John A. Walker, Jr. died on October 29, 2014, in Tucker Nursing Home. He was born in Edgefield County, son of the late John A. Walker, Sr. and the late Maude Gray Walker.

He was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church where he was a former member of the Deacon Board and Senior Choir. He was a World War II Army Veteran.

He is survived by: daughter, Mary H. Inabinett of Temple, Md.; son, Thomas (Darlene) Smith of Johnston, S.C.; granddaughters Teressa Inabinett-Butler of Temple Hills and Kimberly E. Smith of Johnston; grandson, Thomas(Shana)Smith of Woodbridge, Va.; two great-granddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, at Pine Hill Baptist Church with burial in the Mt. Alpha Baptist Church Cemetery, in Ward, S.C. with military honors.
