• ECSO Has Ruled the Death a Homicide
Johnnie Hydrick, 50, of Trenton, was found dead in his home at 103 Windy Ridge Road shortly before noon, Saturday, Oct. 11. According to the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was found by his brother after he had gone to check on him because he had not seen or heard from him since Thursday. Upon arriving at the scene, the brother found the door to the residence open. The victim was lying on the floor dead.
An autopsy was performed on the body Monday, Oct. 13, in Newberry. Findings of that autopsy determined Hydrick died from blunt force trauma to the head. His death has been confirmed a homicide.
