NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – Mr. John Louis “Boy” McKie, 80, of Sweetwater Rd., husband of the late Doris Coleman McKie, died Monday Oct. 13, 2014.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. McKie was born in Edgefield County and was the son of the late John Herbert and Anna Shaw McKie. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. He was the Retired Owner of McKie and Sons Logging.

Survivors include 3 sons- Rocky (Debbie) McKie, Ricky McKie, Kenny (Jaime) McKie; 5 Grandchildren- Ashlie, Melissa, Cole, Kenneth, and Carolyn; 2 Great-Grandchildren- Trent and Blakley; 2 Sisters- Sandra Wannamaker, Joan Short. Mr. McKie was predeceased by a sister- Jean Browne and a brother- Marion McKie.

The family is at the home on Sweetwater Road and will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
