Tamera Sue Kingery, 37, of Mealing Road in North Augusta (Edgefield County) was reported missing to the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office, Saturday, Sept. 20, by her husband. According to the ECSO report, Kingery’s husband stated that he returned home Saturday to find a note from his wife stating that she had gone out for a walk and would return later. However, the husband said this was out of character for his wife as she does not usually take walks. Also, the husband expressed concern because he said his wife has suffered from depression over the years and had as recently as last week attempted to commit suicide by taking an unknown amount of medication while consuming alcohol. The husband advised that he contacted law enforcement after he had searched neighboring woods and roadways but was unable to locate his wife.
The ECSO’s bloodhound unit along with other units were called to the scene to search for Kingery. However, she was not located. Kingery has been listed on NCIC as a missing endangered person.
Tamera Kingery is described as a white female with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She is approximately 5’3” and weighs about 125 pounds. Kingery is said to have scars on both of her wrists and on her chest. Anyone with information about Kinergy’s whereabouts is asked to call the ECSO at 637-5337.
