“Dead Man’s Curve,” the aptly named part of roadway on Hwy 23 West, claimed another life around 9:45 Friday night, Sept. 26.  According to the SC Highway Patrol, thirty year old Heather Holsomback of Johnston was killed when the 1988 Chevy Blazer she was driving east on Hwy 23 toward the town of Edgefield lost control in the curve and exited the left side of the roadway.  Holsomback was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.  She was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple head and body trauma.
