The Friends of the Edgefield County Public Library have issued an invitation to all to participate in a group photography exhibit September 18-August 17, 2014. This will take place at the Edgefield County Library on Courthouse Sq., Edgefield.
Original photos of historical interest from any period (buildings, person, landscape or object) are solicited in this invitation, to coincide with the Southern Studies Showcase (focusing on 1920s Prohibition) which will take place in Edgefield Sept. 19-20.
This exhibit is open to all professional and amateur photographers residing in Edgefield County and beyond. Photos may be black and white, or color; no image larger than 11×14”, approximately 2” mat, framed in thin black metal frame and images limited to 3 per photographer.
The Friends of the Library and staff will mount the exhibit, so photos must be delivered to the library no later than September 15.
These photos may be offered for sale; Friends request a 25% donation.
An opening reception will be held September 18, 5-7; closing reception Oct. 17, 5-7.
