BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Mr. Daniel Winkie Mealing, 66, of Troy Avenue, entered into rest January 19, 2014. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mr. Mealing, a native of Edgefield County was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sisters, Effie (George) Lanham, North Augusta, SC; Julia Mealing, Portsmouth, VA; LaRosa (Fransis) Johnson, Charleston, SC and Dorothy Tillman, North Augusta, SC; four brothers, Samuel (Loretta) Mealing, Brooklyn, NY; Henry (Bernice) Mealing, Beech Island, SC; Warren (Clarinda) Mealing and Alfred (Minnie) Mealing, North Augusta, SC; a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call the residence of his sister, Dorothy Tillman, 542 Rivers Circle, North Augusta, S.C.
