The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at a residence on Freeland Drive, North Augusta (within Edgefield County), Tuesday, Nov. 19.
According to a report filed by the ECSO, the victim in this incident returned to his address to find that thieves had gained entry into his home by kicking in a side door to his residence. Once inside, the criminals stole, among other things, 6 firearms, 13 boxes of various forms of ammunition, a camera, and an unknown amount of jewelry.
Without inclusion of the missing jewelry, the thieves are believed to have stolen over $5,000 in property from the home. Investigators were called to the scene to process any evidence, and the investigation into this crime continues.
