Town Hall Meeting: Sen. Shane Massey will hold a town hall meeting on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Edgefield County Council Chambers, 6 -7:30 p.m. Senator Massey will provide an update on the 2013 session of the General Assembly, look ahead to the 2014 session, and answer questions. Oyster Roast: Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce will hold an oyster roast, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. in the Johnston Municipal Parking Lot. The roast will benefit Fox Creek, Strom Thurmond High, and Wardlaw Academy. Tickets are being sold at First Citizens Banks, Regions Bank, SRP Federal Credit Union, Turkey Shoppe and the Chamber.
Veterans Day Program: This year’s Veterans Day program will be hosted by Edgefield Post 6932 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in the town square on November 11th at 3:00 p.m. There will be entertainment, singing and a chance to celebrate with our veterans. Come join us there.
