Edgefield County Hospital was host to kindergarten children on Wednesday morning, Oct. 30. The children, brought in by bus, were greeting by the hospital “guardian angel” Mary Brightharp, and the CEO Brandon Cleary, in an officer’s uniform (appropriate to the position).
The children wore masks, provided by the schools, and carried large bags for the trick-or-treats planned for them as they entered the building and continued down the hall. Doorways held Halloween decorations to add to the flavor of the day, and hospital staff in costumes welcomed the young visitors. Some patients were able to be of help with handing out candy – a treat for them, surely.
More fun was anticipated later in the day as other groups participated in the Halloween fervor.
