JOHNSTON, S.C. – Mr. Charles Herbert Hillis, 68, entered into rest on August 31, 2013 at his home.

Surviving with his wife Josephine HiIlis are three children Charles J. Hillis(Bernice) of Edgefield, William M. Hillis of Johnston, Katrina Simms(Tyrone) of Rantoul, KS; sister Sandra Brooke of Yuba City, CA and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Hillis was born in Marysville, CA. He retired from AFG Glass Factory with 20 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam era. He was a member of the American Legion and Freedom Temple Church.

A private service will be held at the family’s home.
