This early morning photo shows Steven’s Creek running high after the recent rains that are forecast to continue for several days.
The creek is usually a great place for fishing mud cats. Billy Herron writes about fishing Stevens Creek. His articles explain how to fish for the big catfish (he catches them that weigh 35 or more pounds) and teaches a great deal about fishing this very creek. He has been in the creek, since boyhood, and weekly he shares what he knows about these big catfish and what they are doing to the sunfish and crappie populations.
