Sonny Seawright, Chairman of the Edgefield Heritage Jubilee Festival, set for Saturday, September 28, 2013, is announcing the plans for the coming festival. The Saturday festival will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. And, unlike the festivals of the past decade, the 2013 festival is being held on the Square in Downtown Edgefield.

Seawright made this invitation to all: “Come join us for a fun filled day of crafts, art, food, entertainment, bingo, classic car show, kids zone, NWTF events, history tours and more.”  He is encouraging anyone who needs information or wants to participate as a crafter to please call one of the two following numbers: 803-637-1800 or 803-637-6687. Sonny is hoping those two numbers will be ringing, so please call.

And here is what to expect on the Square: Antique Tractor Show, Motorcycle Show, Display by SC Highway Patrol, Confederate Living History, Revolutionary Living History and Re-enactment of Edgefield History. Just as in the past, there will be the Bar-B-Q Cook-off, and like years before, it will be held on Friday night.

New this year will be Carriage Tours and more will be announced about this later. Also new is a Street Dance, on the Saturday night following the Downtown Festival.
