Genealogy 101 classes, presented by the Old Edgefield District Genealogical Society, are being offered at the Tompkins Library, 104 Courthouse Square, Edgefield, S. C., one Saturday a month. These well-attended meetings provide researchers with a basic understanding of how to start researching their family history and how to utilize various records.
The next class will be held on June 8th and will focus on “Beginning Genealogy.” The class will begin at 9:00 a. m. and will last about an hour, with time and assistance given afterwards for research in the library until 1:30 p. m. Coffee and pastries will be served.
