At the April 2013 Board Meeting of the Edgefield County Water and Sewer Authority, Richard Shaffer, Administrator, announced that he will be retiring, ending his 39 year career with ECW&SA. He has served as Administrator for the last 29 years.

John Hare, who has been with the Authority 14 years, has been named his successor.
