The Red Sox won the Coach Pitch Tournament Championship in exciting fashion. Coming into the final day of the tournament the Red Sox, who were undefeated in the tournament, had to play the Phillies, who had beat the Red Sox every time during the regular season but had already lost a game in the tournament. This meant the Phillies had to beat the Red Sox twice.

In the first game the Phillies continued their regular season dominance over the Red Sox, winning in convincing fashion. However the second game was much more competitive. With the Phillies winning 6-5 in the bottom of the 6th inning the first two batters for the Red Sox were able to get on base. With runners on 2nd and 3rd Caden Patterson came to bat. On the first pitch Caden, a 6 year old, gets a hit between shortstop and third base scoring both runners and winning the game and the tournament for the Red Sox.
