AIKEN, S.C. – Aiken Electric Cooperative reports all outages in their nine-county service area are now in working order. The storm that arrived in Aiken County shortly after 9 p.m. last night resulted in system-wide damage with broken poles, downed lines and nine affected substations. Approximately 6,000 Aiken Electric Cooperative members were without power at the height of the storm.
With line crews working through the night, system-wide restoration was resolved within a 12-hour period.
