Calhoun Street in front of Library/Warehouse
Thursdays 4 – 6 P.M.
Our first seasonal Thursday market was held last Thursday, June 7th. There were 7 vendors with tomatoes, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, corn, fresh flowers, baked goods (pies cakes, cookies), fresh green boiled peanuts, watermelons, local blueberries (and oh, how delicious!), farm fresh eggs, squash, peaches, kale, red onions, freshly picked green beans, prints of local buildings, paintings, note cards, Lions Club brooms, and I am sure I have missed something!!!
Come out on Thursday, June 14th, and there will be the same plus more. . . Yon corn picked on Thursday morning and Bobby & Loris Yonce with their daylilies & gourds.
You will not only enjoy the fresh fruits and vegetables but the camaraderie between the farmers/vendors and local folks as well as out-of-towners can’t be beat!!! We had several newcomers in our area, too, and they really enjoyed themselves!
Visit us on Thursday; support our local growers as well as eating fresh food!
