A member of the faculty at a South Carolina Independent School Association school has achieved the status of Master Teacher, assording to Larry Watt, SCISA executive director.
Leslie Whitlock, of Francis Hugh Wardlaw Academy, began completing the requirements for the designation earlier this year.
On November 6, the 11th Master Teacher Class will receive formal recognition during the Master Teacher Pinning Ceremony at the Fall Teachers’ Conference to be held on the campus of Thomas Sumter Academy.
“The Master Teacher Program bestows well-deserved recognition to SCISA Master Teachers who exhibit best practices in the classroom and a willingness to share and collaborate with other educators,” Watt said. “SCISA commends its Master Teachers who inspire excellence in the classroom, among colleagues and, especially, among students.”
